Specifications for the SD-600 and SD-600V (vented) Motorcycle/Tactical helmet

SHELL
The shell is constructed of high density Tenntex Thermo Plastic Composite utilizing high pressure compression molding for increased strength while maintaining a lightweight helmet. Shell edge is a finished trim made of steel core extruded neoprene rubber. Shell is manufactured to accept standard snap-on visor or fixed black patent visor. Complete helmet is not to exceed 2 pounds 6 ounces.

LINER
The impact liner is constructed of expanded polystyrene (EPS). Liner has a minimum thickness of 3/4” in test plane area to provide maximum impact energy attenuation.

VENTILATION SYSTEM
The SD-600V helmet features a ventilation system that introduces cooling air into inner fit pad area through adjustable forehand venting. The vents may be closed for cold weather use. The fit pad is removable for hand washing. The vented brushed nylon material of the fit pad will provide comfort and maximum wicking of perspiration away from the user’s head to allow maximum cooling.

SIZING SYSTEM
Size range: 6 3/4” to 8 1/8”. The interior fit pad, a standard motorcycle style, is sized XS 6 3/4” - 6 7/8”, Small 7”-7 1/8”, Medium 7 1/4”, Large 7 3/8”-7 1/2”, XL 7 5/8”-7 7/8”, XXL 8”-8 1/8”.

RETENTION SYSTEM
The retention system has a four point “Y” harness including a chin strap that is made of black tubular nylon webbing double bar tacked in critical areas covered with perspiration resistant vinyl. The harness is equipped with a Quick Release Buckle with all metal working parts for secure fastening that meets or exceeds D.O.T. and industry standards. The Quick Release buckle will allow fast entrance and exit from helmet even when wearing gloves. Retention system includes an adjustable safety nape strap to increase stability in all situations including foot pursuit.

STANDARDS
Meets or exceeds Department of Transportation FMVSS- 218 and National Institute of Justice 0104.02 (riot), 0105.01 (crash).

TACTICAL ACCESSORIES
The SD-600 and SD-600V models are especially designed to accept the TA-92 Lexan Tactical Face Shield helmet must have a snap-on molded plastic visor which detaches when shield installed. Accessories: CW97 Zip-on Cold Weather Neck Protector (must be ordered with helmet so that zipper is installed in shell).
